The results are in for BPA State. The kids who made it to the stage are recognized for placing in the top 10 at state. In their individual competitions, there might be 20+ teams for team events, 30+ contestants for judged events, 40+ contestants for tested events, and no limit in open events, with 100s of competitors. Similar to sports, to qualify for BPA state, students must be in the top of their region. In judged events, there are two rounds, similar to track. The top kids from the first round are called back to a final round and compete a second time. It is pretty cool for these kids who finish in the top 10 to get up on the big stage during the awards ceremony in front of a couple of thousand people and hear "from Carey High School" and then their name and placement called out. Give the following kids a high five next week when you see them!

Economic Research Team- State Runner Up- Viviana Palomera, Sheridan May, Kora Parke (The last two years, they finished in 4th place)

Jordyn Bennion- Admin Support Research- State Runner Up

Extemporaneous Speech- 4th Place Avery Nilsen

Avery Nilsen- 7^th Place Human Resource Management

Jenna Cook- 7^th Place in Banking and Finance

Avery Nilsen- 8^th Place Digital Communications and Design- (Open Event)

Kora Parke- 9^th Place in Personal Financial Management

Avery Nilsen- 9^th Place in Financial Math and Analysis (Open Event)
